While I am not a musician, I do have a fondness for music in general and particularly for the musicals of the 1930s and 40s. There are so many wonderful musicals out there and this one is one of my favorites. It has a timeless quality to it, and the songs, especially the ones with a dark theme, still resonate today.

When I was first allowed to have a CD player in my car, my mom tried to get me to get one to play my music. She said, “Go get yourself one.” I was like, “What? I never got a CD player. I’ve always listened to my music on vinyl. I don’t need a CD player.” She was like, “Fine, then I’ll buy it for you.” We had records going back decades, so I knew what I was listening to.
The problem is vinyl is expensive. That’s the first reason I don’t have a CD player anymore. The second reason is because I don’t even like the physicality of CDs. I prefer vinyl.
I dont mean to sound like I’m telling you how to use your music collection, but I have two reasons to say you should get one. First, you’ll get a better sound than a CD player. And second, vinyl is much less expensive, so you can afford to buy more of it.
I have a similar story. I love playing records, but I can’t afford a CD player. But I can buy three of every vinyl album I want. I love that you can get everything you want for a little bit less than the cost of a CD player. I’m not saying you should spend your time and money on the best music. But if you want to buy vinyl, you can get it for a fraction of the cost of a CD player.

The quality of the sound is much better than that of a CD. The quality of the vinyl records also sounds much better than a CD player.
