This is one of my favorite reviews. First of all, it’s a simple review. I’ve been reading reviews and research over and over again because I think the two main reasons I haven’t been able to write a book on the subject is the sheer number of people who have read them and so on. I’d love to hear what other people have come up with.
I was looking for a book that reviews some of the other big topics in the area of game design. I wanted something that would show that the design of a game is as much a process as it is a product. And I also wanted something that would show that the process of creating a game doesn’t stop once it is complete, and that we cannot stop the process of designing the game by just designing a game.
This is a really important book. The designers and developers behind the most successful games of all time are not just the ones who put a game together to sell it. They are the ones who make sure that the game they put together is what the players wanted. They are the ones who keep the game fun and lively for as long as possible.
How about the “how to” part: Creating a game is like creating a picture in Photoshop. Picture is the key.
Here is what I mean. I am going to start with the design process that goes into a typical game. Even if you’re not a designer, you can look at a picture of a game to see how it is designed, and you can read it to see how it is designed. In this book, I will tell you how to design a game in a game-like way.
