I am so excited about this new release from my favorite label. The three-piece band called Huxley has been around for several years and its music has a little something for everyone. The music from their newest single, “Impossible,” is amazing and has been getting me pumped to get down.
Impossible is from their new EP, released this past March, and is the first single from the upcoming release. It is absolutely incredible.
Huxley is a band that I think brings the best of both rock and progressive metal. They do well mixing both styles and make an album that is just as compelling as its many songs. The EP is fantastic, and the single is just as impressive as the album. If you haven’t heard any of it yet, I highly recommend you check it out.
The fact that this band is from the UK is no big deal. They are a US band, but that doesn’t matter when you’re making an album in the UK. The band is also great for being young and doing an album over a year ago.
If you havent heard this band yet, I recommend you get your ear out. They are one of the best bands around. You might have seen them live, and you might have heard of them in one form or another. They have also been making music for over a decade now, which is amazing.
The band was founded by vocalist/pianist/guitarist Mark “Poo” Pooley. They had a run of success in the 90s, but have since fallen out of the spotlight. The band has been going strong since 2007.
Mark Poo Pooley has just announced that after nearly fifteen years of silence he will begin a new band. It’s called R.H.M.B.I.O. (Re-hashing, Hacking, Observing), and the group is set to release an album in the summer of 2013.
R.H.M.B.I.O. stands for Re-hashing, Hacking, Observing, and the Group. It’s not quite a re-brand, but the band is certainly using their music to try and re-define themselves.
It really doesn’t have anything to do with Mark writing songs, but it’s an appropriate way to describe the band. To quote from the band’s bio: “R.H.M.B.I.O. is an attempt to capture the essence of rock music by incorporating the sounds of various bands.
The music is what I would call “upbeat rock”. The idea is to bring the best of both rock and metal to the listener, and the result is usually a lot of guitars and drums with a lot of synths added. I mean, I’m not trying to sound like The Verve here. I’m just being honest.
