During a recent meeting with the band director, I had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the music we were making. Being in the middle of a three-hour meeting, I had to be able to hear the various instruments and vocal parts clearly. I also had to be able to hear if they were working together or not. It was a very nerve-wracking experience. It took a few minutes to get it all together.
It sounds like a lot of the band was not working together on this show. For example, there was a time during the first song when I couldn’t hear the bass line. I think there was a mistake with the microphone, and that’s why we ended up having a little bit of a delay each time the bass came in.
