This is the best outdoor concert venue in Palm Springs. It is the only venue that offers live music and dance (and this is only for the evening performance).
People pay about $60 to $75 for tickets to this venue, but I’ve also seen deals where people pay $50. The price is comparable to the food and drink and alcohol prices, but they are worth it.
While most of the other venues are expensive, it was cheaper to host a live music performance at the Music and Dance Center than to attend a dance-only concert in the middle of the night.
As it turns out, most of the concert went along nicely, with plenty of people showing up and enjoying the music. The main problem is the heat. The night was very hot (the temperature in Palm Springs is a bit hot for late summer, but not significantly so) and it was just a few degrees hotter at the end of the night than it was at the beginning. I can understand why people were sweating a lot.
Palm Springs’ music scene isn’t exactly a hotbed of cool. There’s a few good places to go if you’ve got the money and the time to get there, but for the vast majority of people it’s just too loud. My advice: if you have the time (and money) head to nearby Palm Springs, because they have some of the coolest clubs and bars in town.
Its not just the clubs that are that loud though, its the clubs that are in the clubs and bars. Its like the clubs and bars are the only places you can hear music. So if you want to hear good music, go to the clubs and bars and go to a club that isn’t in a club or bar.
If you are trying to find a club or bar in Palm Springs, just do a Google search for “palm springs clubs and bars”. You should be able to find all kinds of places that are open most nights of the week.
Also, there’s an amazing jazz night happening tonight that I highly recommend you check out. The Palm Springs Jazz Festival is one of the best in the country, and this particular year is going to be even better. The lineup is amazing and the bands will be really rocking through the Palm Springs nightlife. The festival will take place on Saturday, June 14th, 2012 at the Palm Springs Convention Center from 7-11pm, with the free event afternoons on the following Saturdays.
The new thing is that there are a few new bands coming up and this is one of them. I’ve been listening to the band from the upcoming release of the upcoming album, Deathly Fire, and I’m not sure what this could be. I have a feeling the album will be a better album than the previous one – but I suppose that’s a question for the band to answer.
Ive always liked this band, and was a little impressed with their debut album, A Thousand Rivers, and their live show on the indie rock station, The Party. I dont know much about their music, but I do know that Ive always been a fan of their live show. Ive been following them for awhile and Im excited to see what they have in store for us.
