I have had these for nearly 5 years now. I was in love with them until the day I finished my new one. I feel like I am in the middle of a roller coaster. The thing is that I don’t feel like I have a whole lot of choice.
Sure, you could go with a cheaper one, but with the price I feel like I have made my decision. I have been using a resto finisher for about 3 years now. It has been my go-to for a couple of reasons: I can paint fast, they are very easy to use and they have a very high degree of durability. I am very happy with it because I feel like I am using it to full advantage and thats all I ask of it.
One of the things that I have noticed in using the finisher in my shop is that I use only one side at a time. This is so I can paint on the other side of my house without having to take off the resto. As a result, I have to work harder than I would have on a smaller model. This can be a disadvantage in the long run, but I hope it is not because I feel like the finisher is my tool of choice.
I have also noticed that the paint on the sides don’t end up as smooth as it should be. They tend to fall off as soon as they get finished, which to me is a shame. A smoother paint surface will save you a lot of money, and the smoother paint surface will allow you to do more intricate or complicated design on your home.
I do agree that the paint should come off the sides of the finish as soon as it is done, but I would have expected it to do this right away given the thickness of the paint. I find the finish to be quite smooth on the sides and back, so I don’t see how it would be any different on the sides than on the back.
I agree with the above observation about the finish being smooth and easy to do on the sides. It is nice to have a smooth finish on the back, but I would not have expected it to be as nice as it is on the front.

I agree that the finish on the back is nice, but I don’t know if I like the finish on the sides. I think that the finish on the sides would be closer to the original design then the finish on the back. I think that the sides just look like the back when the light hits them.
I think it is because the sides and the back are one single piece of wood, and the finish on the sides is only on the surface. To me, the finish on the sides looks like it has a better finish and is easier to work with then the finish on the back because the sides and the back are one piece of wood. But, I don’t know about you, but I am not one for the simple, clean look of the finish on the back.
I think the finish on the sides is more of a soft touch look and can be too rough for some people. I think the finish on the sides looks better when you just have to go with the flow and create a subtle texture, which is what most of these finishes are.
